> What size/resolution should my images be?

  • Ideally images should be 300 dots per inch (dpi) at their final printed size. The actual size of the image varies between templates and calendar styles.
  • As calendars are intended to be viewed from a distance a lower resolution could be considered acceptable even if on close inspection it looks biurry.
  • We send all our customers a free printed proof to ensure they are happy with the quality of all images.

> How can I determine what the image resolution/dpi is of my image?

  • To determine resolution from pixel dimensions, divide pixel width and height by 300. This will give you the maximum size at which you will be able to use the image based on printing it at 300dpi. For example, an image which is 2126 x 1535 pixels will be 7 x 5 inches if printed at 300dpi (divide the pixel measurements number by 300) You may have an image that does not meet the above criteria but you still really want to use within the calendar.
  • As calendars are intended to be viewed from a distance a lower resolution could be considered acceptable even if on close inspection it looks biurry.
  • We send all our customers a free printed proof to ensure they are happy with the quality of all images.

> Can I supply images as hard copy?

  • We are sorry but we do not except hard copy images. We recommend that you either scan your hard copy images or take a picture of them using the high resolution setting on your digital camera. It is simple to do please read "If I need to photograph hard copy artwork/images, how do I get the best result?"
